The Maple Shade Fire Department is a completely volunteer department serving a community of 20,000 residents. The township is 3.2 square miles situated in western Burlington County. The demographics of Maple Shade include residential single-family homes, numerous garden apartments, commercial businesses and light industry. US highways Rt. 73 & Rt. 38 pass through the town, Maple Shade Fire Department responds to an average of 620 emergency calls a year. This number does not include any EMS services.

Monday, June 23, 2008 - Maple Shade Fire Department recieved a grant from the Columbia Bank Foundation to purchase 2 new MSA thermal imaging cameras. Friday, June 6, 2008 - 1012, 1019 and 1015 were part of the ARI annual car and truck show. There was plenty of food and classic car displays. Thanks to ARI for the invite and we look forward to coming again next year.  |

Monday, June 2, 2008 - Two more new members have joined the ranks of the MSFD. Rich Craven is new to the fire service and will be attending Firefighter I in August. Chris Parks brings 9 years of experience from Cherry Hill Volunteer Fire Department #1 where he held the position of Assistant Chief.  | | Rich Craven |

Saturday, May 31, 2008 - Rescue 1019 assisted McGuire Fire Department with the annual air show. The Rescue stood by at headquarters in case of any calls. The inclement weather canceled the show for the day. Thank you to McGuire for the invite again this year. |

Friday, May 23, 2008 - MSFD was dispatched along with Moorestown Stations 313 and 311 to 101 E Main St for the building. 1010 arrived to find visible fire from the 2nd floor rear of the building. Companies extingusihed the fire quickly to prevent spread to any other apartments. Pennsauken RIT 11-1 assisted also.  |

Friday, April 18, 2008 - 1000 arrived with smoke and fire showing from the rear of the dwelling. 1011 layed a 4 inch supply line and led off with an 1 3/4 handline. Crews made a good stop on the rapidly advancing fire. MSFD was assisted by Moorestown Stations 313 and 311.  |

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 - 1010 arrived to find a large garage and van heavily involved. 1011 and Camden County 13-52 arrived and deployed 3 1 3/4 handlines to control the fire. Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 1000 and 1010 arrived with a vehicle fully involved with minor extension to the dwelling. The fire was extinguished with 1 3/4 hoseline off 1013. All companies were placed in service. MSFD was assisted by Moorestown stations 313 and 311.

Sunday, March 9, 2008 - Units arrived with fire in a first floor condo extending to the second floor. All companies were placed in service bringing in additional mutual aid.
