Station 101 was dispatched to the Norgetown Laundry Mat on Rudderow Ave for an appliance. 1010 arrived and was advised by police of an active fire in the wall behind a dryer. The assignment was upgraded to a building fire. 1011 arrived and pulled and 1 3/4 line and opened the wall. Cherry Hill Engine 1352 layed a supply line from 1011 to a hydrant and assisted 1011's crew. Squirt 3133 assisted 1011 and checked the roof. PSE&G was requested to secure the power and assist with shutting off the gas. Quick actions by all companies prevented the fire from becoming more serious.
